‘Pride & Prejudice & Zombies’ Character Posters Are Ready for War

When Jane Austen came up with the idea for her literary classic Pride & Prejudice, it seems unlikely that she would have thought about throwing zombies into the mix, way back in 1813. Thankfully, author Seth Grahame-Smith did, tweaking this beloved story and turning it into Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. While we wait for the movie adaptation to hit theaters on February 5, 2016, IMP Awards has debuted eight new character posters, which come just a few weeks after the first trailer arrived.

These one-sheets feature Jack Huston as Mr. Wickham, Lena Headey as Lady Catherine De Bourgh, Douglas Booth as Mr. Bingley, Sam Riley as Mr. Darcy, Suki Waterhouse as Kitty Bennet, Matt Smith as Mr. Collins and Lily James as Elizabeth Bennet. If you’re familiar with Jane Austen’s original novel, these characters will all seem like old friends, but they certainly don’t carry swords and firearms in the book, like they do in this zombie drama. We’ll have to wait and see if Jane Austen purists form some sort of protest over this adaptation.
